J-Lo to light up North Azerbaijan 2012 curtain-raiser

International superstar Jennifer Lopez will be the main attraction at the opening ceremony of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012.

It was confirmed on 13 April that the entertainer, from New York, will be the star of the show at the tournament’s curtain-raising event at the Tofig-Bahramov stadium in Baku on 22 September.

The performance will be J-Lo’s first in Azerbaijan. The singer, dancer and actress, who has Puerto Rican roots, is an extremely well-known figure around the world.

Hit singles like All I Have, Let’s Get Loud and Jenny from the Block have all helped to transform Lopez, 42, into a global star.
