According to ANS, Sargsyan, Ahmedinejad discuss Daqliq Qarabaq conflict

They have stressed the impossibility of resolution of the conflict through military ways.

Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan discussed Daqliq Qarabaq conflict during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. Sargsyan is said to highly appraise Iran’s stance on the issue. The presidents of the two countries stressed the impossibility of resolution of the conflict through military ways.

Ahmedinejad in his turn noted that the stability in Armenia was contributory to strengthening peace in the region further stressing the importance of bilateral co-operation between the two countries. Armenian president later informed his Iranian counterpart about the development of Turkish-Armenian relations.

Sargsyan informed that Iran proved to be an important and reliable partner of Armenia. Stressing Iran`s strong support during the country’s worst days, Sargsyan reminded the passage of necessary aid during the years of blockade. The sides also stressed the importance of further broadening of bilateral co-operation on various field particularly on trade, transport and energy sector.

The final memorandum on construction of railway between the two countries is also expected to be signed today.
