Azerbaijani and Russian presidents meet in Moscow
Dmitriy Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev discussed situation in the Caucasus and bilateral relations.
Azerbaijan’s and Russia’s President Ilham Aliyev and Dmitriy Medvedev met on Tuesday in the residence of Russian President “Minedorf castle.â€
Opening the meeting Medvedev suggested discussing situation in the Caucasus. “It is necessary to check watches with consideration of problems in the Caucasus after Georgia’s aggression,†he said. Aliyev answered that it is necessary to coordinate efforts to establish peace and predictability.
Then Medvedev touched on bilateral cooperation and noted that by the end of the year the goods turnover will reach two billion dollars.
“Russian-Azerbaijani relations develop very dynamically, and we are happy with this partnership,” Medvedev said.
Aliyev confirmed that goods turnover is growing and it is good that its structure is becoming better. He told also about development of relations in humanitarian sphere, and mentioned opening of the branch of Moscow State University in Baku.ans
