Suicide Bomb Attacks in Iraq Kill 20
Iraqi authorities say three bomb attacks in Baghdad have killed at least 20 people and wounded more than 40 others during a religious pilgrimage.
Police say the suspected suicide bombings occurred Monday as Shi’ite worshippers were making their way to the Kadhimiya shrine, north of the capital.
They say the explosions were close to Baghdad’s Karrada district.
On Sunday, the U.S. military said Iraqi and coalition troops killed four al-Qaida militants and captured 58 others in a battle in northwestern Iraq.
The military said Sunday’s fighting in the province of Ninewah also killed four Iraqi soldiers. Six other Iraqi troops and a coalition soldier were wounded.voa, Voice of a Nation
