United Nations agree with Azerbaijan’s just position

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev: “The Resolution passed by UN General Assmebly is political and diplomatic victory of Azerbaijan.”
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva also attended the event traditionally organized by Baku City Executive Power every year. State and government officials, deputies participated at the event as well.
“Voting at United Nations General Assembly on situation in Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenian Forces and the resolution passed by the Assembly once again proves increasing political power of Azerbaijan,” stated Ilham Aliyev, president of the Republic of Azerbaijan in his speech at Novruz Holiday party.
“Azerbaijan’s right position on regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Daqliq Qarabaq only within territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is reflected in the resolution and passed by the General Assembly. This is diplomatic and political victory of Azerbaijan”, noted Mr. Aliyev.
The president called the resolution a proof to Azerbaijan’s increasing authority. “The countries, which supported us, supported justice. Though several ov them were under great pressure. Besides, the resolution showed that international community approach to settlement of Daqliq Qarabaq conflict fairly. We demant regulation of the conflict within international law norms and principles and won’t change our position. Daqliq Qarabaq will never be recognized. the world community proved that. And Azerbaijan will never agree to recognition of “independence” of Daqliq Qarabaq,” added President Aliyev.
Touching upon the economic reforms implemented in the country, the head of state emphasized that the economic growth rate in Azerbaijan was on a high level. To the president, solution of social problems is always in the focus of the government’s attention. Aliyev said that Azerbaijan carried out huge and historical projects in the region and added that economic indicators of the country increased twice over the last 4 years. According to Ilham Aliyev, there are ad hoc programs on each sphere for the continuation of economic advancement and implementation of new projects in the country.
President Aliyev noted that energy security of Azerbaijan had already been maintained and stressed that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines were the historical achievements of the country. The president stated that the Government also pays special attention to further development of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan. According to Ilham Aliyev, development of culture in the country, major repair and rehabilitation operations in historical sites of Baku as well as construction of new museums and theatres will be continued henceforth.
At the conclusion of his speech, the President of Azerbaijan congratulated the People of Azerbaijan once again on the occasion of Novruz Holiday.ans
