Turkish officials think the Mossad might be going to the birds. A farmer in Turkey turned the body of a European bee-eater over to government officials after he spotted an “Israel” tag on its leg. Turkish security is investigating whether or not the bird was a possible secret agent of the Israeli secret police and had an embedded surveillance device. In the most obvious denial ever, Israeli wildlife officials denied that the bird was a spy, claiming it had been banded four years ago and that it had likely stopped in Turkey as part of its natural migration pattern, which includes southern Europe and [1] Russia.net
