Turkey, China sign nuclear cooperation agreement

Turkey and China on Monday signed a cooperation agreement for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and a letter of intent for cooperation in nuclear energy.

The agreements were signed under the auspices of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao in Beijing after their tete-a-tete meeting and meeting between respective delegations at the Chinese National Assembly.

The agreement and letter of intent were signed by Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz on behalf of Turkey.

Turkey and China also on Monday signed a letter of intent to mutually establish cultural centers and an other letter of intent to mutually encourage investments and preservation of the investments.

Turkey’s state-run TRT TV channel and Chinese CCTV signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing on Monday.

During the ceremony held at the Chinese National Assembly, Chinese National Publication Group and Turkey’s Turkuaz Magazine Group signed a cooperation agreement.
