Three people were killed and 27 people were wounded in two explosions at a gunpowder factory in the central Turkish province of Kirikkale, which triggered a fire on Friday, Turkish TV channels reported.
Three people were killed and 27 were wounded in the blasts that occurred at 1150 GMT in the gunpowder factory, according to gendarmerie sources.
Surrounding houses and businesses were also damaged in the blasts.
The fire that broke out after the explosion has been brought under control, CNNTurk reported.
The cause of the explosions is not yet clear.
In 1997, an explosion in the same factory, belonging to Turkish defense company, MKE, the main supplier to the Turkish armed forces, led to a deadly fire that raged for days.hurriyet
