. | According to the paper, American and Iranian officials are seeking ways of preventing the emergence of a medium of chaos in the event of the Assad regime collapsing.

The French newspaper Le Figaro has claimed that the American and Iranian officials who have met behind closed doors have reached agreement on what the new administration will be in Damascus.
The newspaper says further that the Tehran administration which has so far given the biggest support to the Baath regime is now turning its back on Syria.
According to the paper, American and Iranian officials are seeking ways of preventing the emergence of a medium of chaos in the event of the Assad regime collapsing.
Washington and Tehran are also claimed to have reached consensus on the formation in Syria of a high-level military council as in the case of Egypt.
Iran is alleged to press American officials to do whatever is possible to preclude the outbreak of a civil war in Syria for fear of the war spilling over across the border into Iranian territories.
American diplomats, again according to Le Figaro, have called on Iranian authorities not to break Iraq’s stability before the US troops’ complete withdrawal at the end of this year and to sever their support for Hamas and Hezbullah.trt
