The Foreign Ministry stated that the agreement contained items on allocating preferential loan worth $ 8.5 billion to Turkey as support for economic reforms and granting $ 1 billion for compensating the damages of the Iraq.
“According to the agreement, the loan worth $ 1 billion was to be paid to Turkey in periodic installments. The special item in the document says that if Turkey carries out military intervention in northern Iraq, the US will refuse to pay the rest of the aid.
