Symbolic key of Eurovision-2012 song contest officially presented to Azerbaijan to host song contest, APA reports.
At the ceremony held at “Buta Palace†mayor of Duseldorf Dirk Elbers presented symvolic key to Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov. At the ceremony, Eurovision-2011 winners Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal’s video roll was demonstrated.
Mayor of Duselderf Dirk Elsbers greeted Azerbaijani people in Azerbaijani. Noting that Azerbaijan was winner of Eurovision-2011 in Germany, he said that Eldar and Nigar’s performance was mentionable. He expressed his assurances that Azerbaijan will hold an outstanding song contest and wished success Azerbaijani people on hosting Eurovision song contest.
