Seid Mughanli released from prison after 3 months and 20 days

. | Seid Mughanli was sentenced to 6 months prison, for taking a course of literature and also writing a poem in Azerbaijani Turkish (Azeri). He is one of the well-known and respected poets and writers of South Azerbaijan, having impact on youths and readers in North and South Azerbaijan. His poem called “Your hug is safety, your eyes are terrorists” was introduced by secret agents as “a threat to the regime” in Iran!! |
Seid Mughanli was sentenced to 6 months prison, for taking a course of literature and also writing a poem in Azerbaijani Turkish (Azeri). BayBak reminds that Mr Mughanli was tried without having his lawyer present at court because Musa Khalifeh Barzin, his lawyer was in prison himself for defending the “protesters against Islamic regime”. Jafar Afsharniya, Mr Mughanli’s new lawyers work also was not successful and he served more than half of his sentence and was released due his good behaviour and having no previous convictions of same nature!
