Second women international chess tournament opening ceremony was held in Baku. The state officials, sport community, honored guests and chess players attended the opening ceremony, APA-sport reports.
Youth and sport Minister, Organizing Committee chair Azad Rahimov addressed the meeting. “We experience beautiful moments. We are proud of holding such a tournament in Baku. I am pleased to greet chess players in Bakuâ€. Azad r4ahimov noted that several sport events were held in Baku. The Minister said boxing and tennis tournament are underway in Baku. He said taekwondo, wrestling and judo tournaments will be held in Baku shortly. “It is the indicator of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev’s care for sport. I extend my gratitude to Azerbaijan president on behalf of all sport communityâ€.
Azad Rahimov extended his tanks to the organizers too. “I extend special gratitude to the president of Azerbaijan State Oil Company Rovnag Abdullayev. He loves chess very much. He assisted the tournament financially with great pleasure. Azerbaijan chess achieved results with his help. I wish lock to all chess playersâ€.
