Red alert in Sulduz region of South Azerbaijan in reaction to protests

. Fars official’s recent fraud in election result in South Azerbaijan is retaliation for Turkey and North Azerbaijani official’s recent comments about South Azerbaijan. Iranian regime is trying to speed up the change in the region, separating Turkey and Azerbaijan by creating a Kurdish wall in borders. This policy has been in place for decades, but occupier regime is feeling the tension and wants to finish the job very quickly.

Following a fraudulent election play in Iran, South Azerbaijanis shocked after seeing that non-locals have been named as elected MP’s. According to BayBak, Sulduz, Urmu, Beykendi, Saridash and few other cities are hit more by the fraudulent election. It is said that before the election Iranian security officers had meetings with Azerbaijani candidates, telling them to not to complain if other won the election. They regard to the election as a fight against separatism and national unity. According to BayBak, many local figures in Urmu and Sulduz have already raised their voice, complains being sent out to city council and officials.

South Azerbaijan is fighting against Fars chauvinism and Kurdish terrorism, and later act by the officials have flamed up the tensions. Naming Kurds as MP for Turks is an insult and is a clear evidence of waste fraud in election. BayBak reports that if the situation is not changed, there is possibility of mass protest in recent days. National activists are in constant contacts and have plans for upraising in coming days.
