Officer of military unit of Defense Ministry, lieutenant Kamran Asadov entered crime with the other members of radical wahhabites’ group, stole 4 submachine guns, 1 hand-grenade PK, 20 hand grenades, a lot of cartridges for submachine guns and military equipments and fled.
Kamran Asadov and other members of the group arrived in Baku after concealing fire-arms and military equipments in Ismayilli region, head of Public Affairs Center of Azerbaijan National Security Ministry Arif Babayev told the APA.
Mr. Babayev said that National Security Ministry (NSM) detained a group of those persons during searching operations carried out in housing unit #104, Mashtaga, Sabunchu district of Baku at 03.00 on October 27. One member of the group was killed while wanting to resistance. A part of concealed fire-arms was taken in that address, the other part was found in Ismayilli and taken. Radical Wahhabites’ terrorist attacks on government agencies and US Embassy in Baku were thwarted. Criminal case was launched on the fact, searching operations are continued for “neutralizing†the other members of the group. The operation is controlled, people will be informed.
