. | Iranian government has a policy, to dry out the Lake Urmu leaving a salty desert which wills spread all over the region, killing all greens and obviously terminate the natural life in South Azerbaijan. This is to force migration of the Azerbaijani Turks, to make region a poor and not habitual and also to help the occupier regime to widen the border between Turkey and Azerbaijan (an international plan to separate Turkey from Turkic World). |
Every year in 13-th day of the New Turkish Year (Oghuz/ Newroz) people in South Azerbaijan celebrate and act to protect the nature and natural resources. Since 2010, people in South Azerbaijan also try to catch attention of the world to a disastrous future designed by occupier regime in Iran.
Yesterday, people in Tabriz, Maragheh, Khiyav and also in Koln-Germany gathered to show their anger on Iranian government’s policy on Urmu Lake, and South Azerbaijan too. Photos from Koln are published but photos from South Azerbaijan are held for security reasons.
