Meeting of Cabinet of Ministers on outcomes of socio-economic development for 2011 and plans in 2012 was held under the chairmanship of President Ilham Aliyev.
According to APA-ECONOMICS, head of state noted that, all socio-economic duties were fulfilled successfully. Total growth in economy made 0.1%, in non-oil sector – 9.4%. Development of this sector effected launch of new jobs. Non-oil industry rose 11.1%. Inflation remained at single-digit level. Investment made $ 20 bln. $13 bln of them is domestic, $ 7 bln – external. Totally $37 bln was invested during past 2 years. Currency stocks exceeded $ 40 bln. Pensions, wages were increased.
Ilham Aliyev noted that, construction of objects in health, education and etc. were continued. 94,000 jobs were launched. 73,000 of them are permanent. Jobless level decreased to 5.4%, poverty level – to 7.6%.
He also noted that, State Program on Azerbaijan’s youth in 20112015 was adopted, Youth Fund was established in 2011. Thereafter, Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev, Chairman of State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, Minister of Communication and IT Ali Abbasov, chairman of State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslumov made speeches.
Aliyev noted that, Azerbaijan had to work hardly to finish 2012 successfully. State budget expenditures will make $22 bln, consolidated budget – $ 25 bln. State Investment Program makes $ 5.7 bln.
Along with this, head of state ordered to improve the military issues and others.
He noted that, Summer Olympic Games will be held in London in 2012. Azerbaijan will construct 10 Olympic Sport Games. Repair of stadium named after Tofiq Bahramov will be continued. Taking all off these into consideration, President Ilham ALiyev announced 2012 as a year of Sport.
