Permanent representatives of several countries to UN visit Guba genocide cemetery in Azerbaijan

. Ambassadors of Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Burkina Faso, Congo, Gambia, Lesotho, Maldives, Myanmar, Nauru, Somali, Trinidad and Tobago and Togo first visited Guba genocide cemetery. Head of the expedition Gahraman Agayev informed the diplomats about the Guba genocide cemetery, spoke about the genocide committed against our people by Armenians.

Permanent representatives of several countries to the UN, who are in Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Foreign Ministry, visited Guba region on July 9, APA’s north bureau reports.

Ambassadors of Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Burkina Faso, Congo, Gambia, Lesotho, Maldives, Myanmar, Nauru, Somali, Trinidad and Tobago and Togo first visited Guba genocide cemetery. Head of the expedition Gahraman Agayev informed the diplomats about the Guba genocide cemetery, spoke about the genocide committed against our people by Armenians.

Gambia’s permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Susan Wafa Ogu said she was shocked by what she had seen. Susan Wafa Ogu said she would propagandize it at the UN and her country.

The representatives also visited the synagogue of the Mountain Jews. Head of the Mountain Jews religious community Boris Simanduyev spoke about the tolerance in our country and gave information about the history of the Jews’ habitation in Guba.

Following this, the ambassadors visited “Gedim Guba” Private Carpet-weaving Facility. Director Humaya Mammadova informed the guests about the ancient handiwork.

The guests were accompanied by head of Guba region executive power Rauf Habibov, Azerbaijan’s permanent representative to the UN Agshin Mehdiyev and representative of Foreign Ministry’s State Protocol Fuad Aliyev.
