Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkish Speaking Countries gathers in Baku

. | The Assembly came into effect after the Turkish Speaking Countries Summit that was held in Antalya province of Turkey in 2006 upon the suggestion of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan inked the agreement last year in Istanbul. |
Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkish Speaking Countries, TURKPA, convened in Baku.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Åžahin represents Turkey at the meeting.
Aiming at improving common language, history and cooperation among the sister countries, the meeting is also attended by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Participating in the Council meeting on Monday, September 28, the Parliament Speakers of the participant countries will take their seats at the TURKPA General Council meeting on Tuesday.
