So called Xinjiang Autonomous Region national resource management beuruo announced that Chinese central government and local government together will invest one billion 120 million Chinese Yuan to exploit new mineral resources of East Turkistan in two years.
Investment will focus on ten special area’s geological research. They planned to investigate 32 thousand square km area that could be found significant geological minerals. In 2008 Chinese geologists found locations of 35 important mineral deposits.
Those mineral deposits mainly include the soda nitrate, coal, iron, copper, and zinc. Coal reserve that already found was 21 billion 600 million tons and iron reserve was 72 million tons in last year in East Turkistan. China is aggressively planning to reach the coal exploitation to 40 billion tons in this year. However, they neglect the poverty and natural disasters caused by arbitrary exploitation of natural resources that rush to transfer to inland China.uygur
