Recently a video released showing Seyyed Mohammad Khatami telling insulting jokes about Islamic figours and Turks. Also they make fun of Rashti ethnic calling their wives as sluts!
This video caused a big fall on reformist’s popularity especially in Azerbaijan. Many Azerbaijanis demonstrated against the insult. Tens of protesters are arrested or injured by Mirhosein Musavi’s fans. Mr. Musavi is running a campaign for coming presidential election in Iran. He is close friend of Mr. Khatami.
According to Galam news, Mr. Khatami released a statement denying him insulting ethnic groups. He also claims that the video is fabricated to make their party lose!
