Iraqi Parliament passes election law

Iraqi state-run television said on Sunday that after day-long discussions the Iraqi Parliament has passed election law in the evening hours.
The approved election law, which will pave the way for a national election in Iraq in January, had long been delayed because of disagreements over the disputed city of Kirkuk.
