“Azerbaijani security forces foiled the plot of Hezbollah terrorist organization to explode Israeli embassy,†writes Kuwait-based Al-Watan newspaper, APA reports quoting MIGnews website.
Citing the well-informed Russian sources the newspaper reports that the plot was retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyah. Imad Mughniyah was killed in Damascus in February, 2008. Though Israel refutes to have any links to the killing of Imad Mughniyah, Hezbollah claims that he was killed by Israeli intelligence bodies.
Head of public affairs center of Azerbaijani National Security Ministry Arif Babayev told APA that they did not comment on such reports.apa
