Southern Azerbaijani is part of Greater Azerbaijan the land of more the 55,000,000 Azerbaijani Turks. They have been the only owner of those lands, which is now divided into two part, Northern part is a Republic state but Southern part is still under occupation.
After occupation of Southern Azerbaijan, the minority Fars, who took over “Qajar Turk Empire” put ban on Azerbaijanis national and cultural rights. Now, Azerbaijanis can not learn and use their language in their own land, they have no rights of choosing their own rulers and also have no rights to protest!
21st of February is the International Day of Mother Language. It is been named by UNESCO to protest native languages and cultural habits of world’s in-danger nationalities.
We are gathering signatures to demand our basic rights of being able to have our mother language free. Please help us, sign the petition.
