Yesterday in Ankara, following a request from the Prime Ministerial offices, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will come together with General Yasar Buyukanit of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Ilker Basbug of the Land Forces, and General Isik Kosaner of the Gendarme to discuss recent developments concerning PKK terrorism in Turkey, as well as developments in North Iraq.

Yesterday’s “terror summit” in the capital is expected to take all alternative options remaining to the government and the military into consideration. Sources also note that the summit among leaders today in Ankara will be in preparation for the June 20 National Security Council meeting in Ankara, in which terror is also expected to be the main topic.
