National Security Ministry (NSM) carried out operation in Mashtaga, Sabunchu district yesterday, law-enforcement bodies told the APA.
Local police participated in the operation as assistant in the operation carried out in house #104.
Operation group had to fire at armed gang for disarming them. Member of the gang Ramil Aliyev and others threw grenade. Fortunately the grenades did not explode.
Warning shot for disarming them wounded Ramil Aliyev and he died in the place of the incident. The other members of the gang Shahriyar and Yashar Maharamov were also detained in the place of incident.
A lot of prohibited religious books and fire-arms were taken. Officials of Prosecutor’s Office, National Security Ministry and Interior Ministry are at the site. Criminal case was launched on the article 29.120 (attempt to suicide), 315 (endangering the life or health of representatives of the authorities by means of force), 279 (Creation of a armed formations or groups, which are not provided by the law) and other articles, the investigation is under way.
