Clash between polis and football fans reported in Tabriz

. | According to reports received by BayBak, Tebriz city is witnessing a major clash between peaceful demonstrators and Iranian police. According to the reports, after a massive insult and humiliation of Azerbaijanis and Turkic nationality by Iranian TV, media and Fars football fans, Southern Azerbaijanis started their protest and gathered in Tabriz to show their anger and also their support to the Tiraxtur (Traktorsazi) football team who is banned unlawful after being the victim of Persian chauvinism in a match against Piruzi team. |
According to reports received by BayBak, Tebriz city is witnessing a major clash between peaceful demonstrators and Iranian police. According to the reports, after a massive insult and humiliation of Azerbaijanis and Turkic nationality by Iranian TV, media and Fars football fans, Southern Azerbaijanis started their protest and gathered in Tabriz to show their anger and also their support to the Tiraxtur (Traktorsazi) football team who is banned unlawful after being the victim of Persian chauvinism in a match against Piruzi team.
Reports say there are 18 people been wounded by tear gas and police attack and also around 50 are arrested by the police and civil clothed armed forces. FIFA is been informed of the situation accrued 5 days ago in Azadi stadium and there is a mass protest started around the world by Azerbaijanis.
Today phone lines and internet connection in South Azerbaijan were disrupted intentionally by the local authority.
