New reports appeared regarding reportedly arrest of Chief of Security Service of Heydar Aliyev International Airport Emil Suleymanov. APA reports quoting a source in law-enforcement bodies that Emil Suleymanov, his deputy Tamerlan and a person named Rafet have been detained.
They are accused of providing opportunities for persons involved in human trafficking. It is also reported their detention is related to illicit drug traffic.
Spokesman for Azerbaijan Air Lines State Concern Maharram Safarli told APA that he is unaware of the report.
Emil Suleymanov’s receptionist told APA that he is not at work at present and will not be. Asked whether he was arrested the receptionist “I do not know, do not ask me,†said.
Interior Ministry’s Department to Combat Human Trafficking told APA to contact the Ministry’s press service.
Officer of the Ministry’s press service Ehsan Zahidov said he is not informed about it.
