Incident occurred in Georgia-Azerbaijan border today, APA’s Georgia bureau reports.
Kiraj Muganlio resident, 34-year old Azerbaijani Elmikhan Nasibov was shot in 5 meter of Georgian-Azerbaijani border. Two bullets hit him while he was shepherding at 08.00 in the morning. The officials of Georgia Prosecutor General are carrying out investigation in the place of the incident. Georgia claims that Samadov was shot by Azerbaijani border-guards.
The officials of Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia reviewed the place of the incident.
Press attaché of the Embassy Elkhan Polukhov told the APA’s Georgia bureau that they expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased, the Embassy will focus on the investigation of the incident.
Azerbaijan State Border Service refuted the information on Azerbaijani border-guards’ shooting at Nasibov. The Border Service’s press service told the APA Azerbaijani border-guards did not do it.
