Dear friends and family of the Azerbaijan Cultural Society of Northern California,
We would like you to join us in celebrating International Mother Language Day and International Women’s Day on Saturday, February 21, 2009. We have invited Mrs. Fakhteh Zamani, Dr. Shapur Ansari, Mr. Ismail Jamili, and Ms. Ziba Karbasi as guest speakers for this celebration. It is an honor for these guest speakers to accept our invitation to join us in celebrating these two important events.
Mrs. Zamani will share her views regarding the different aspects of women’s rights in the region as well as abroad. Dr. Ansari will also discuss the effects of our mother language from a scientific perspective. In addition, Mr. Jamili and Ms. Karbasi will share their poetry with us. Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who might be interested in joining us to celebrate International Mother Language Day and International Women’s Day.
