Armenian Defense Ministry confirmed that its servicemen Gor Manasarian was killed and his body was left in the Azerbaijan’s territory.
Spokesman for Armenian Defense Ministry Seyran Shahsouvarian said the soldier of one of the boundary units lost his way and was shot dead by the Azerbaijani servicemen, APA quotes Arminfo agency. Armenian side intends to begin talks for returning his body in the next few days.
A reconnaissance group of Armenian armed forces attempted to cross Azerbaijan’s borders in the direction of Agdam Village of Tovuz region of Azerbaijan at 00.30 on July 19. Press officer of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu said Azerbaijani servicemen prevented this attempt of Armenian reconnoiters. One of the enemy’s reconnoiters was killed and others escaped.apa
