Please find attached the first in the series of appeal cases that Amnesty is issuing regarding our community as part of the ‘Defending Minority Rights’ project. Appeal Cases will be issued individually as they are ready, and then will be printed all together as a ‘Campaign pack’. They will be released with a complete report for this campaign that Amnesty International is launching on behalf of Azerbaijani community in Iran. I would like to take this opportunity

Appeal Cases will be issued individually as they are ready, and then will be printed all together as a ‘Campaign pack’. They will be released with a complete report for this campaign that Amnesty International is launching on behalf of Azerbaijani community in Iran.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the activists within Azerbaijan who risked their lives in order to pass on this information, which enabled us to make many reports to Amnesty International. As a result Amnesty International has published more than 20 Urgent Actions, Public Statements, Newsletters, and finally these Appeal Cases and this Campaign. I hope, as a community, we actively participate in this campaign and help to bring world’s attention to injustice faced by Azerbaijanis in Iran.
