1 Million Dollar bail requested by Iranian court for 4 Azerbaijani human rights activists!
19 people were arrested while attending an Islamic fasting meal in Tehran. They were all intellectuals, poets and human rights activists.
Alirza Sarrafi, Mehdi Naimi, Hasan Rashedi and Said Muganlu are still in custody without any trial. Others were released under heavy bail.
Now, according report from Southern Azerbaijan, Iranian regime is demanding $250,000 for each of activists named above. It will total up to $1,000,000 which is highly unusual bail.
BayBak reports that Iranian secret agents are threatening the family of those who are named as the member of national movement (ANM). According our sources, several horrifying phone calls, personal messages and even physical clashs took place recently between officers and family members of ANM.
Sanay Rashedi, daughter of Mr. Rashedi has tolled Radio Freedom (Azadliq) about the problems they have to make the money for requested bail.
